I spent a lot of time on Yahoo groups dedicated to finches and looked at the representations of the mutations on. The Chestnut Flanked White (CFW) was an all-time ideal that I wanted in my flock. My curse is that after one or two clutches, my breeders decided they had done their part and stopped. I love all white zeebs, too, yet the creamy ones, the fawn birds, with faint stripes and red eyes, are the top of the list. Many mutations can’t be had here in the US, so I can only dream. The black cheeks, the Isabels, the grizzles. I love the normal gray zeebs, but my heart will always belong to the mutations. ![]() Going back through photos I have taken, looking for specific things I haven’t really found, I came across a few photos of zebra finches from my early days of breeding.
